Steps

  1. Chill the flute properly. A warm flute kills a sparkling drink in under a minute.
  2. Orange juice in first.
  3. Top slowly with the can, tilting the glass.
  4. Twist the orange peel over the top.

Why it works

Juice first, bubbles second, always. Pouring a carbonated drink onto a still one foams it over and you lose half the carbonation to the counter. Straining the pulp is the unglamorous step that actually decides whether this holds its fizz.
