Cola, lime, a lot of ice. The least fussy thing on this site and one of the best.

Steps

  1. Fill the glass with ice all the way to the top.
  2. Add lime juice and bitters.
  3. Pour the cola in slowly.
  4. Drop the spent lime wedge in.

Why it works

Cola is already a spiced citrus drink, it is just heavily sweetened. Lime and bitters pull it back toward the spice and away from the sugar, which is the same trick a Cuba Libre does with rum standing in for the bitters.
